Even though the sky was socked-in and gray there were some good sights from Discovery Park today.

A narrow canal, under Natomas Park Drive, runs parallel to Garden Highway, emptying into the Sacramento River.

Even though the Jibboom St Bridge hides I-5 in the background, tall vehicles cast reflections in the water (blue semi cab pulling a white trailer on left).

Sacramento skyline against gray skies.

A sea lion comes up for air as it trolls for fish in the converging waters of the Sacramento and American Rivers.

A man rides his bicyle on a path under the bridge.

A homeless man loads his backpack and gear to move to another site.

Beautiful, serene and dreamy, the river area in the early morning reveals mysteries that we city-dwellers seldom see. Kati, your shots are terrific-- I may have to have that canal shot for my breakfast room wall. Thanks!
