Saturdays double header at Rollerking in Roseville between the Sacred City Sacrificers and the Minnesota All-Stars and the Disciples vs Mendo Mayhem ended in a win for one and loss for the other.

The evening started with a country rendition of the national anthem sung by Shauna Lea Granada. The audience applauded the performance and it started-off a hard fought bout between the Sacred City Sacrificers and the Minnesota All-stars. After sixty minutes of hits, falls and bruises Minnesota took the bout 202 to 57.

The second bout between the Disciples and Mendo Mayhem continued the tough-love approach to derby but this time it was the Disciples who walked away the victor with a final score of 117 – 73.

Sacred City would like to sincerely thank all of its fans for coming out to support the team – it has been a fun year and your encouragement is very much appreciated.

The Sacramento Derby Girls would also like to remind everyone that they will be hosting the 2010 western regionals at Memorial Auditorium Oct. 1-3. This event will bring together 10 nationally ranked teams from across the west and promises a lot of derby fun. The regional’s website is www.rollinontheriver.net

Great shots! Thanks for teaching me about the sport and allowing me to shoot by your side. I was impressed with the fan turnout, and I'm confident even more people will come out for regionals.
