The Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange, a local trade association that has served the building industry since 1901, has endorsed former police captain Darrell Fong for Sacramento City Council District 7. Fong, a lifetime Sacramento resident, is currently vying for the Pocket/Valley Hi Council seat in the November run-off election. The Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange strongly believes that Darrell Fong is the best candidate in supporting the views of the local construction and building industry, and for creating much needed jobs in Sacramento.
“I support him because he is clearly the best candidate for the job. He is the right man, in the right place, at the right time,” stated Governmental Affairs Chairman Bill Porter. Executive Director of the Builders Exchange Joshua Wood added, “Darrell is a strong and qualified candidate with deep roots in the region. We believe that he will help unite the Council and bring a common sense approach to governing our City.”
Fong highlighted his willingness to work with the building industry and business community to foster economic growth in the community.
“I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange. The Builders Exchange is recognized as one of the leading organizations representing the overall construction industry in Northern California, and I am committed to working with them to grow new jobs and business opportunities in Sacramento. Like the Builders Exchange, I have a long history in Sacramento and we are both dedicated to ensure the long-term economic prosperity of our community,” stated Ret. Police Capt. Darrell Fong, candidate for Sacramento City Council.
