Hello community members and partners throughout the City of Sacramento.

As you may know, the City’s approved Fiscal Year 2010/11 budget for Neighborhood Services shows a reduction of2.00 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff and our team has lost two Neighborhood Resources Coordinators due to layoffs.Due to loss of staff, Neighborhood Services is rearranging the areas in which we all work.

Our department has also consolidated with the Special Events division of the Department of Parks and Recreation. We are now part of the Parks and Recreation family as the "Neighborhood Services and Special Events" division.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your dedication to the continual improvement to your neighborhood. Your work in the community is essential to healthy, strong neighborhoods. Should you have any neighborhood- or City-related questions or concerns please feel free to either myself or your Neighborhood Resource Coordinator at anytime. Each of us are only a phone call or email away.

Thank you, and we look forward to working with you soon.

Good luck Vincene and neighborhood services! Hopefully you can keep the high quality of service you have provided despite these unfortunate cutbacks.
