Ettore's European Bakery and Restaurant celebrated its 25th year in Sacramento with a celebrity cake decorating contest this morning.

Donna Burke, AT & T, is enthusiastic after finishing her cake (photo above).

The tension was extreme as Blake,(foreground), Elyssa Lee, Sactown Magazine; Barbara O'Connor, CSUS and Jan Scully, Sac County District Attorney tried to outdo the men's team with Ettore Ravazzolo's help.

Scully shows good icing form as she starts.

Icing clung to Lee's cake as she proudly displayed it.

Mark Allen, Good Day Sacramento, is definitely in the right job.

John Finegan, Finegan Family Foundation; Eric Stanion, Bank of America and Sotiris Koloktronis, SKK Development displayed finely-tuned decorating skills.

The enjoyable event benefitted the Youth Development Network. For over nine years, the Youth Development Network has been dedicated to creating life-changing experiences for youth success by supporting community organizations through training, networking, and policy change. (ydnetwork.org/)

Kerry Callahan, Principal, Pioneer High School in Woodland presented a Youth Development Network Client testimonial to the crowd of supporters.

Dennis Mangers sang Oh, What a beautiful morning".

Kitty O'Neal, radio personality, KFBK, was Mistress of Ceremonies.

Lee Greenwood, songwriter (“God Bless the USA.”) arrived with Sharon Gerber, Six Degreez, Inc. . Their next stop was the State of the City address.

The Rotary Rooters Band, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sacramento, provided tunes.

Ettore Ravazzolo opened his European Bakery in Sac in 1985. He made many desserts, sweets and cakes that people had never seen or tasted before.

Now, his bakery walls are fully decorated with many awards for "Best Bakery" and "Best Dessert". Ettore continues to be one of the most popular TV chefs in Sacramento.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, ETTORE'S
