If you live in or around midtown, you've seen 'em for sure. Kustoms; the stylin' one-off cruisers that catch attention. I'm talking about your super cool, hand painted, hand crafted works of art that you can ride. If you attended the Appetite Enhancement Ride last Thanksgiving or any one of the numerous bar-hops, you've seen them. Albeit, most of them were purchased off the line as is, but if you're really into seeing art that you can ride, this weekend is your chance to check out Bike-O-Rama, held inside Autorama at Cal Expo.

Now in it's 60th year, Autorama has expanded it's showcase to include kustom bicycles, and who bettter than than College Cyclery to host the program. Bike-O-Rama, now in it's 3rd year, will showcase nearly 50 bad ass kustoms including one by local kustomizer, Adam Copeland, a bicycle mechanic at College Cyclery.

“If it weren't for all the guys who built the kustoms, there'd be no show. I built my first major kustom in 2006 and I'll be showing too. It was just a natural thing to go from custom cars to include kustom bicycles.”

Local adrenaline junky and shop proprietor, Terry Cox, was talking shop with the event organizers and said something like, “You know what would be cool?” - he always starts off like that. “What if we put a kustom bike show inside Autorama?” The rest is history and College Cyclery is getting ready to put on their third such show inside Autorama.

Terry Cox and his wife Allison Meyer Cox own College Cyclery and are proud parents of 4 kids including Justyn Cox who races ASCS US circuit (sprint cars). Terry also is a professional drag racer and member of the legendary 250 MPH club. This Spring, Terry and Co. will be building the demo track, again, at the nation's largest gathering of bicycle fans in Monterey, CA for the Sea Otter Classic.
