Winters, CA – Norcal Valuation owner Jack Young has earned Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) status in the American Society of Appraisers, the oldest international major appraisal organization and the only one representing all disciplines of appraisal specialists.
Norcal Valuation specializes in appraisals of machinery, equipment and collector cars throughout northern California. Jack also conducts cost segregation studies on income-producing properties such as single family rental units, restaurants, hotels, manufacturing facilities, wineries, food processing and industrial park complexes.
Jack’s experience as auctioneer and auction manager of business assets, machinery, equipment and personal property, combined with his background in public accounting and financial analysis, provides a strong base for the asset valuation concepts embraced by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the commercial personal property lending industry today.
In addition to the ASA designation, Jack serves as Co-Discipline Director of the Machinery and Technical Specialties committee and Chapter Secretary of the Northern California Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers. He also holds a CPA and Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA) status from the National Auctioneers Association.
A 1988 graduate from Arizona State University, Jack earned a degree in Accountancy. He has worked at regional CPA firm, Price, Kong & Company, and in the Sacramento office of international CPA firm KPMG, where he audited industries of banking, insurance, manufacturing, agriculture and distribution. Subsequent to working at KPMG he was a financial analyst in the insurance and international micro-finance industries.

It's not often properly observed how swell a guy Jack Young truly is. I once witnessed him break up a twenty man bar brawl with nothing but the sweet, sweet sound of his voice. True story.

I heard Jack actually appraised the Spruce Goose, and the giant Buddha of Leshan, that's how good of an appraiser he is. I think he's just trying to be modest here.

Another little known fact about Jack Young is that he is one of the most virile men born in the 20th century. Jack Young is known to have sired no fewer than 37 children in the western U.S. alone.

Kati, you have to understand that there's only one man qualified to appraise the work of Jack Young - Jack Young himself. No one else has the qualifications to tease out the nuance of his exceptional nature.
