The Big Brothers Big Sisters BOWL FOR KIDS' SAKE is just a few weeks away!

Bowl for Kid's Sake, the annual fundraiser to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sacramento, will be taking place on February 27, 2010. On this day, groups and individuals join forces to party with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sacramento to Bowl for Kid's Sake. Companies and local organizations from throughout all four counties will put together teams of employees, church members, friends, family members and club members who will bowl to raise money to help at-risk children receive services from Big Brothers Big Sisters.

It’s is a day for raising fun and funds. It’s a day of laughter, cheers and bowling to the beat of incredible music. Everyone in the community is invited to come out to have fun and make the lives of local kids better. You don’t have to be a good bowler to participate or to win. Good bowlers are welcome but fun people who care about kids and like having a good time are especially wanted.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is calling on you to help. If you would like to participate, you would sign up individually or with a team of 4-6 friends, co-workers, or family members. Team members ask people to sponsor them for the event. Each bowler would need to raise just $100 in pledges but asking is easy and painless with the Bowl for Kids’ Sake website! Each team-member receives 2 games of bowling, a BFKS T-shirt, and other fun prizes. Bowlers turn in their pledges and cash donations at the bowling center the day of the event or online on their personal fund raising webpage.

The more pledges you raise, the more kids in your neighborhood will have a Big Brother or Big Sister. The more kids with mentors, the better your community.

Bowl for Kids' Sake will be taking place at Country Club Lanes, located at 2600 Watt Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95821. Bowl times for the event are 9a, 11:45a and 2p (you pick one).
