Sacramento Metro Chamber’s advocacy day represents the interests of business to state government The annual Sacramento Metro Chamber State Legislative Summit on Jan. 27 convened 100-plus of the region’s business leaders to the State Capitol to advocate on issues that will build jobs and business prosperity, from tax credits for angel investments in qualified small business stocks, to fast track of regulatory changes to enhance competition with other states. Keynote speaker was State Insurance Commissioner and GOP gubernatorial candidate Steve Poizner, who detailed his plan for putting California back on fiscal track. In all, Metro Chamber participants logged 45 meetings with legislators or their staff. Afterwards, they mingled at a reception to honor the elected officials.
