There is something that you cannot place your finger on it exactly but you need to seek a deeper meaning in your life. You read some books that support your thoughts and beliefs. Maybe you think that it is time to burn a little incense, sage or light a candle in a small crevace or tabletop as a makeshift altar to peace and healing. You flip trough the telephone book or jump online to "google" spiritual supplies, metaphysical bookstores or candle shops, only to find that one by one, they have closed. There has to be somewhere that one can go to buy the spiritual supplies that they need.
The Mystic Spirit Fair, the Sacramento's newest and only FREE ADMISSION indoor psychic fair, is doing just that. "Understanding that despite the current economic outlook, people still need to find sources of strength and spirituality that may not be considered 'mainstream' or something that a conventional organized religion can offer, this is the reason we have the Mystic Spirit Fair.", says producer, Jacqueline Mathers. Jacqueline is also the producer of the Holistic Healing Expo, which serves as a gathering point for all things laternative in healing in the southern Sacramento County areas including the Pocket, Greenhaven, Elk Grove, Galt and Vineyard areas of Sacramento.
The next Mystic Spirit Fair is Saturday, March 6, 2010. Other dates in the year are Saturday, July 17, 2010 and Saturday, November 6, 2010.
Jacqueline, an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church and spiritual counselor herself as well, says that "There is no one way to Spirit." With the recent closing of one of the largest metaphysical shops in Sacramento, East West Bookstore, as well as other retailers who closed in 2009, being able to pick up a bundle of sage, get an intuitive reading or a candle to place on ones altar is far and few between. "Another good thing about the Mystic Spirit Fair is that some of our craftsmen are employed by the State and other entities and with the furloughs, selling their wares on the weekends helps their families continue by supplementing that lost furlough day.", says Jacqueline, who is employed as well and works on weekends and nights making sure all the elements are in place for the fair.
One of the featured intuitive readers who has made a commitment to all three of the 2010 Mystic Spirit Fair is Tammy Adams. Tammy, who owns House of Angels, located at 1729 "L" Street in downtown Sacramento, has been assisting others in seeking spiritual healing and guidance for years. "Reaching out to the Sacramento area to offer her gifts of Spirit and to let others know that she is centrally located is vital to those who, for whatever reasons, do not attend a traditional church.", say Jacqueline. "Many people who seek alternative routes to connection with Spirit were either shamed or shunned in a regular church setting, but something kept telling them there was a message that was needing to be heard. This is the reason that people seek intuitive readers and spiritual healers."
Jacqueline has also been doing what she can to assist with spiritual supplies, Her online store, www.lucky13clover.com, does just that. Lucky 13 Clover offers spiritual supplies in traditions with the Southern sytle of spairitual practices known as conjure, hoodoo and root work. She fashions mojo bags, personal pouches with herbs, roots and more to strengthen or restoe a persons nature or resolve to be successful or to keep lovers together. You may call her to make an appointment for a consultation and have your mojo bag created right in front of you.
