PROGRAM DETAILS:
How do designers' and builders' responses to climate become elements of architectural form and style? Sacramento architect and green builder Matt Piner will discuss examples from local, global, and historical perspectives on certain architectural forms that are so prominent as to have their own name originated as building responses to the peculiarities of local climates.
VISUALS: Sacramento designer Noel Cruz, in collaboration with Matt Piner, has produced a slide show of images to illustrate the relationship between climate and architectural forms. These images will replay throughout the presentation and the dialogue.
LIGHT REFRESHMENTS: UDA will provide pretzels and filtered water. If you would like to bring additional food or drink to share, please feel free to do so.
