The fifth annual Dine Downtown week is back January 8 through January 17 with 35-featured restaurants. Dine Downtown is the perfect opportunity to sample the best Downtown restaurants like The Firehouse, Biba Restaurant, Bistro 33, and Ella Dining Room & Bar on a budget.
How it works: Each Dine Downtown restaurant will offer a prix-fixe three-course dinner menu for $30 per person that typically includes your choice of an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. All you have to do is ask for the Dine Downtown menu once you’re seated. Restaurants like Morgan’s at the Sheraton Grand Hotel and The Pilothouse Restaurant also offer special wine pairings to complement each dish.
Plan ahead: Take a look at the official Dine Downtown website www.downtownsac.org/dinedowntown for a list of all participating locations and menus. Dine Downtown is a busy week for restaurants so don’t wait till the last minute to make reservations. Weekends fill up quickly, so beat the crowds by dining out during the week. While reservations are not required at all Dine Downtown restaurants, they are recommended. Call in or book your reservations online with www.opentable.com.
Where to park: If you’re parallel parking skills are less than desired, there are plenty of parking options Downtown. City parking garages located at 10th & L and 10th & I streets are only $5 after 6 p.m. while the garage at 14th & H is $6 after 6 p.m. Check in with the restaurant to see which garage they validate or if they offer valet services.
