bad side - parking nightmare for residents - good side -many midtown businesses looked busy yesterday with holiday shoppers & i saw a lot of kids and that is a good thing. Anything we can do to promote midtown as a multi-generational destination not just an animal house bar centric destination is a good thing.

While having the rink in midtown is a great idea, the location that was chosen sucks. It's made an already bad parking and traffic situation worse. I do hope it gets brought back to midtown in the future, but some more careful planning needs to go into its location.

People did look like they were having fun there this weekend.

Ok, I've been to the rink 3 different times at three different times of the day including Saturday at 7 and I found a spot within one block within 30 seconds. There is always parking on 21st.

The rink is supposed to return to downtown next year and while it is ok in Midtown, Downtown is really better suited - more space for the rink itself and much better parking infrastructure. In Midtown resident s have to deal with this parking nightmare daily and search high a low for parking each and every day - not three times in a six week period at non-peak times. It's a totally different deal and non -comparable situations.
