I wrote so much to share just some of what I have learned on this painful journey. I just did not feel comfortable unless people knew- 'Our cries echo from one Sacramento neighborhood to another' is not just about African American youth. I don't want any family I wrote about to think I put their pain, death, loss in an article on African American youth deaths when their child was not African American. Initially I did not mention the race because I no longer look at race. I look for love and truth. I only correct it because I have to respect those in pain.... My life is continuously interupted addressing youth violence and it is extremely important to me that I don't walk on a treadmill. I am trying to step towards healing and I don't want to step alone. I want many more to walk this journey and do so undivided by race or gang-like mentality.

I truly appreciate and I sincerely thank you- Sacramento Press - for giving a voice to all of us. I truly appreciate all that I am learning from so many who post and write articles on this site and I sincerely thank you all.
