Screw this.... I'm sick and tired of Multi-culturalism

Do we need to have a memorial for every race of person who ever fought for the United States?

The idea of singling out a race of veterans goes against EVERYTHING they are SUPPOSED to be fighting for... a color blind society.

For those who are so proud of Mexico, or any other country, please feel free to go fight in their military, just don't come back.

The Mexican American Veterans Memorial, located west of the Capitol, was built to remember the sons and daughters who fought during WWII from the Scarmento Valley. The statue was located at the Mexican Cultural Center which was located by South Side Park until mid-1970 when it was relocated to its present site.

No improvements have been made to the statue since it was moved to its present location.

A beautified and enhanced memorial, currently under design, will encompass the military service of Mexican Americans and Latino soldiers who have served from California starting with the admission of California as a state. The memorial will incorporate the contributions that women have had in the military since the statue was first constructed.

The established site for the memorial is:www.mexicanamericanveteransmemorial.ca.gov.
