As promised, the Trash Film Orgy was a trashy good time.

The Crest Theater was full Saturday of costumed fans of “The Howling” and “From Dusk Til Dawn.”

Before the double feature began, visitors occupied the lobby for ghoulish activities such as make-your-own-monster and monster a go go.

The stage in front of the movie screen was set as living room for a special performance of “Little Dead Riding Hood,” the murderous adventure of a young girl trying to find happiness in the adult film industry while she delivers tequila and hot dogs to her dying grandmother.

“We are presenting a musical on stage which we have no business doing,” said the evening's hidden host.

The crowd cracked jokes during the movies, tossing Halloween puns back and forth.

During intermission, visitors rushed to the booth outside the theater doors to sign up for the costume contest. The first 10 people to sign up became contenders for the trashy showing, where prizes didn’t matter.

“You’re only going to die of laughter,” said Jennifer Anderson. “Its trashy, funny and wrong on so many levels.”
