Peanut butter and jelly?
Brad and Angelina?
Yen and Yang?

Few things go together better then wine and music, Wine & Beats is an event designed to bring that point home. Whether you only drink wine now and then or you're a wine lover, music is something that always enhances the experience. This is especially true with city dwellars and midtowners! Everyone from wine expert Clark Smith to music industry veteren Adam Rabinovitz and NPR  have written articles on pairing wine and music. It's about time everyone experienced it for themselves.

This event is a way for you to do just that. The first great thing about this event is you can get in for free by following the event online, just search "wineandbeats" on twitter or facebook and friend them up. You can also get in by signing up for a mailing list at wineandbeats.com You can always choose to pay the $3 cover at the door knowing your money will be going to charity.

So what's going to make this event so great? First the location can't be beat, Design Within Reach is the often seen and rarely used art/furniture studio on 16th street in between Bistro 33 and Mikunis. If that doesn't excite you, there are 3 great wineries Rail Bridge Cellars (Sacramento), Revolutions Winery (Sacramento), and Murphy-Goode Winery (Sonoma) that will be pouring some of their best wines.

In addition AudioJaunt.com and Magnolia Audio Visual have teamed up to provide the event with a $20,000 audio system to be sure everyone gets crisp and clear sound. Local veteren deejays Billy Lane, djriffraff, Crush Delight and Raimonnemar will be providing music from around the world to "pair" with the wine. Sacramento artists and businesses have contributed by giving items for the silent auction that will happen half way through the event.  And to be sure everyone wins proceeds from the event will help the Sacramento art and music program for kids, Sol Collective.

Didn't catch all that? Well here are the details.
