Sacramento has a new and delicious gourmet treat that's made by a Sacramento local.

DavePops are creamy, drip-free ice pops that leave you swearing to yourself that you just had a cup of ice cream. But don’t let that creamy texture and taste fool you, this is no ice cream, this is a completely different process patented by creator Dave Feldpausch.

These treats come in a variety of different flavors including favorites like mint chip and mocha, and fruit flavors like mango, lemon, lime and much more, but I think the most unique flavors that he has are the energy drink flavors like Red Bull.

The most amazing thing is that although the popsicles are creamy and taste just like ice cream, they have no dairy, no fat and are only about a 100 calories each!

Dave himself is a super-friendly guy who is really excited about his new product and can’t wait to see what’s next for his new business.

He has only started to sell his new dessert this summer. If you want to grab yourself a Dave Pop I would suggest making it out to the Farmers Market on Tuesdays before the end of the summer. But keep your eyes peeled because you might just see them in the grocery store freezer section sooner than you think.

DavePops are yummie.

Great article, Dave deserves accolades for the quality of his product and for proving that indivdualism, capitalism and entrepeneurship works.

Wow. Someone thumbs down quality product, individualism, capitolism, and entrepeneurship. We know who they voted for!

Creamy and delicious, yet sugarfree and non-dairy... so what ARE they made out of? Maybe a trade secret, but SacPress deserves to know!
I've got to give his mint chip a try. Sounds delightful.

Sorry, they are don dairy and all flavors are even vegan except for the chocolate and toffee chips, but there is sugar. Not a ton of sugar, but added sugar non the less. But they are creamy without any added fat or dairy.

I wish I could buy them a dozen at a time. Hey Dave, how does someone go about buying them in bulk to put in their freezer, so we can enjoy them anytime.
