It's August 8, 2009, Saturday and the day is hot. When the days are hot like this, people have an itch. They have an itch for doing a barbeque. I head over to William Land Park with one of my paranormal investigators Chantal Apodaca. Preparing hotdogs, sausages on the BBQ pit was Shannon 'Ms. Macabre' McCabe. Members of HPI all brought a variety of dishes and we were able to feast and socialize throughout this whole day. One investigator brought baseball gear and everyone was involved in good social conversation and had no time to play the American sport of baseball. Plus, most of us had our dogs with us. I had Pika and HPI (pronounced Hi-Pee) with me. Pika and HPI had a great time socializing with the other dogs. Dogs with names like Luke, Suzi and Rocket.

After this BBQ was finished, I had another BBQ to go too. Chantal and I headed over to 2330 Juanita Lane, Sacramento, California. At this BBQ, the occupant Sandy was celebrating her son's birthday. There was a Mariachi Band, there was a Hawaiian hula dancer. Sandra hired a DJ that played a mixture of R&B, disco, Salsa, Hip Hop. Many people hit the dance floor and we all conducted a soul train on the patio floor. There was a huge table of delicious Mexican food and a non-stop flow of margaritas from the Margarita machine!

Yes! Summertime is fun; it's truly a time for celebration, social fun and interaction, comradery and bonding.
